Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia Announces 2024 Call for Conference Grants.
The aim of the call:
The aim of the Conference Grants Call is to support the organization of regional and international scientific conferences, congresses, forums, symposia and seminars in Georgia. In addition, to foster the exchange of information and experiences, advance scientific research, promote the work of Georgian scientists in international journals and collections, and enhance the integration of Georgian researchers into global scientific communities.

The main conditions of the call
In the conference grants call, project proposals can be submitted in the scientific fields defined by the scientific field classifier:
1. Exact and Natural Sciences;
2. Engineering and Technology;
3. Medicine and Healthcare;
4. Agricultural Sciences;
5. Social Sciences;
6. Humanities;
7. Georgian Studies.
In order to obtain a conference grant, the project must have key personnel – a group of Georgian citizens who are the organizers of the event planned by the project, are responsible for the implementation of the project and the performance of the main tasks.
In order to win a grant, the project presented in the call must have a leading organization - a Legal Entity of Public Law (LEPL) registered in Georgia or a Non-Entrepreneurial (Non-Commercial) Legal Entity in Georgia (NNLE).
The conference to be financed within the framework of the call should be held within 12 months of obtaining the grant.
The grant funding requested from the foundation for the project should not exceed 170,000 GEL.
Call administration calendar:
From May 16 to May 30, 2024, 16:00 - project electronic registration;
May 15 and 22, 2024, at 15:00 – online group consultations (please, click the link to attend the consultation);
June 11, 18:00, 2024 – deadline for submitting the statement of participation at the SRNSFG chancellery;
June, 2024 – technical examination of the submitted projects (checking their compliance with the terms and conditions of the call);
July, 2024 - evaluation of the submitted projects by the call committee;
July 2024 - approval of the projects selected for funding based on the evaluation of the committee by the general director of the foundation;
July, 2024 – Publishing call results;
July-August, 2024 – Signing call agreement.
